A skills development camp for boys and girls entering grades 5-9
The Summer Shootout Clinic provides instruction that will benefit players of all skill levels. We will be teaching the fundamental skills that are necessary to become a great basketball player. The morning session will focus on skill development and the teaching and practicing of a variety of basketball drills. Drills will focus on passing, shooting, dribbling, defending, and rebounding.
In the afternoons, campers will have an opportunity to put their new skills to work as they play in 5-on-5 games. Games will have a referee, coach, and official game-like atmosphere. Afternoons will also consist of competitive games such as hot-shot, dribble tag, knock-out, and many more.
At the completion of camp, each player will receive a hand written evaluation of their basketball skills. This evaluation will include tips for improvement and drills that the camper should work on to improve his/her game.
